Part of the Family

The health and happiness of our dogs is of the utmost importance to us. On a daily basis, our dogs receive quality attention, affection, and exercise–they are truly part of the family!  When you visit, you’ll see that each dog has its own indoor/outdoor space that is safe and regularly cleaned.

Our Labrador Retriever mothers are assigned their very own quiet, clean, climate-controlled whelping area.  It’s our mission to provide a stress-free environment for our mothers, and with the health of our canines being a top priority, the whelping area is not open to the public.

We work with our puppies to expose them to a variety of environments and situations so that they become well-rounded and even-tempered. Children are a common sight around the farm, so it’s not unusual to socialize our puppies with humans of all sizes.  After submitting an application, we welcome one visit per family to the farm. This helps to reduce anxiety in our mothers and limits unwanted diseases.

Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers reserves the right to refuse any potential buyer, or visit, for any reason. 

Our Health Guarantee

Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers guarantees that all puppies are free from congenital anomalies until they are one year of age. Within 72 hours of the transaction, the buyer must have their canine examined by a licensed veterinarian, at the buyer’s expense.  Proof of the examination must be provided to the seller, or the contract will be voided.

Moreover, all puppies are guaranteed against hip dysplasia for 12 months.  This warranty requires no breeding within the two years, and the buyer must provide documentation from OFA or PennHIP.  If the buyer provides the necessary documentation, and the puppy is found to have hip dysplasia, we will honor our agreement and provide a replacement animal when available. Please note, the buyer is responsible for all additional expenses.

Our health guarantees only apply to the original buyer and are non-transferable.  In order to solidify the transaction, buyers must agree to all terms reported in the contract. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding our guarantee and contract terms.

Nutrition

We know that a good diet translates into a healthy, happy dog. That is why we feed our dogs high-quality, clean dog food with no corn or preservatives. Our dogs and the puppies that leave this facility should always have water available to them and appropriate food daily. Your veterinarian can recommend a supplement that is right for you and your new puppy.

Spay/Neuter Contract

Limited AKC registration of this dog is contingent upon your compliance with this addendum. Female and male puppies must be spayed or neutered by 18 months of age. It is recommended that Labrador Retriever’s, being a large breed dog, wait until at least a year of age to be spayed and neutered. Proof of the spay/neuter must be received by Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers, the breeder, within seven (7) days after the surgery. In the event that the dog’s health does not allow this agreement, Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers must be provided with a statement from your veterinarian that this dog is not yet in physical or emotional condition for surgery. Based upon the veterinarian’s evaluation of this dog, the purchaser will contact the veterinarian and establish the earliest date that the procedure can be performed. This is the responsibility of the purchaser, not the licensed veterinarian, to ensure that Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers receives verification that the surgery has been performed. A copy of the medical record as well as the receipt is necessary verification. Failure to comply with this agreement in the time allotted, unless otherwise agreed to in writing, will be considered a breach of the contract. The purchaser will be liable for fines and penalties. The Limited AKC registration will not be provided to the purchaser and will not be entitled to a refund of any kind. All costs included with this procedure are the purchaser’s responsibility. No refunds are available in this agreement.
